Hi !
The new question is about a colored tag on an ARVN jacket.
There are no SSI on the jacket, which makes the identification even more difficult.

Hello NTS , VC or NVA wore even ARVN uniforms to create the confusion Some of color tag (no name or number )were just used by ARVN for the recognition friend /foe during large scale operations, sewn before D day then removed later. Hope that help Slick

It comes from my oncle in law , who was ex ARVN captain , ex translator in psychological warfare (circa 63- 73). He told me that the colors or the combined colors were decided by the staff of the operation few before to avoid infos leaking . So many time deadly friend' fires were commited . ps: sorry for my bad english
